A Successful Hatrick
There is a saying that states “Good luck comes in threes”, and this is evident after the third successful BOON EDAM Revolving Door installation by Jack Frost Cape Town Pty Ltd (now trading as FROST INTERNATIONAL) took place at The Metropolitan Life Building Cape Town in 1993.
This was the third instalment in what was becoming a highly sort after entrance solution.
The scope of work involved the supply and installation of 2 BOON EDAM Tourniket Revolving Doors.
The architectural firm responsible for this project was Roberts & Loebenberg Architects (now R&L Architects) whom wasted no time in looking to Jack Frost Cape Town for an answer to this solution.
The decided diameter for these doors was 3000mm with 3 rigid door leaves allowing a nice smooth flow of traffic when entering and exiting the building. The doors were equipped with a folding doorset option, allowing bracing to be removed and the doors folded in order to allow larger objects to pass through them, as well as automatic night locking doors, securing the space from unwanted elements.
Through the combined efforts of FROST INTERNATIONAL and R&L Architects (John During & Doug Roberts), the most appropriate and effective form of entrance solution was achieved and marked yet another superb outcome on the list of successful projects.
The completion of this project, another iconic building in the Cape Town City, was followed by an influx of enquiries and enabled FROST INTERNATIONAL to launch the BOON EDAM revolving door range throughout South and southern Africa. The company was supplying entrance solutions that were un-matched.
